Board of Directors and Privy Council
The FCSS-FESC governance structure is divided into two separate but equally important bodies; the Board of Directors which is appointed annually to serve one-year terms and the Privy Council which is filled on an as-needed basis at the discretion of the Executive Director.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is comprised of ten (10) Directors who serve one-year terms and is the highest and final authority within the organization. The Board is responsible for all financial, legal, regulatory, and governance affairs of the FCSS-FESC.
Husayn served as Executive Director of the FCSS-FESC in 2016/17 and is now the Chairperson of the Board of Directors. He currently attends McGill University pursing a Bachelor of Arts in Honours Political Science and International Development Studies.
Roman is currently attending the University of Ottawa Telfer School of Management pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce in International Business. He is also the former Board Chairperson for 2016/17 and previously served as Executive Director in 2015/16.
Kiyoaki Christopher Omori
The Privy Council advises the Executive Director and Members of the College of Chief Officers on day-to-day operational matters. It also helps to preserve institutional knowledge and is an arms-length judicial investigative body that works with the Board of Directors.
Chair & Operational Affairs Advisor
Eva served as Chief Operations Officer of the FCSS-FESC in 2016/17 and is now the Chair of the Privy Council. She currently attends McGill University pursing a Bachelor of Commerce in Strategic Management which positions her to advise the organization on operational affairs.
