FORUM: Student Bill of Rights

  • The 519 519 Church Street Toronto, ON, M4Y 2C9 Canada (map)

Introducing FORUM by FCSS-FESC

FORUM is a one-day in-person event to help us better represent and fight for Canadian high school students. It is our public consultation day in Toronto to talk to students about the Student Bill of Rights, issues they see in education, and how we can address those challenges.

Consultation is an essential part of this process because we need to hear from students to ensure that our vision for representing secondary stduents across Canada is inline with what students actually need.

We believe that Canadian secondary students are instrumentally important as stakeholders in their education. From downtown Toronto to the beautiful Atlantic coast, mountainous British Columbia to rural Nunavut, every student deserves to be treated in a way that is fair, equitable, and inclusive.

That is why the FCSS-FESC is proud to introduce its public consultation for the Student Bill of Rights. We want to hear an array of perspectives from a wide variety of stakeholders including students, teachers, administrators, policy makers, and many more. We want to hear from you!

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

No, The Forum is open to everyone! High school students, post-secondary students, and adult guests are all welcome to attend and participate in the proceedings. If you care about student voice in education, we would be happy to have you!

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Forum is being hosted at the beautiful 519 Community Centre in downtown Toronto.

  • From York Mills Station, board Line 1 (Yonge-University) and disembark at Wellesley, then head east on Wellesley St E toward Church St
  • Arriving by car? Parking is available on the street during certain hours and in the lot across the street, behind te building, and in other nearby areas.
